Starting Tuesday, Dec. 17, OIT employees can take advantage of the Gemini Advanced Google Workspace add-on. Gemini Advanced will be rolled out on an agency-by-agency basis. Check back often to learn more as new details become available.

How to Request Gemini Advanced

Below is the general process for OIT employees to request access to a Gemini Advanced license. The How to: Request Gemini Advanced in the ServiceHub Customer Portal guide provides more detailed instructions.

Talk to your supervisor: Consult with your manager to make the business case for using Google Gemini Advanced before taking the required Gemini Advanced training or submitting a request in ServiceHub.

Take the training: Complete the required Responsible AI for Public Professionals: Using Generative AI at Work training in the State of Colorado Learns (SOC Learns) Training Portal. 

Submit your request: Once you’ve completed the required training, fill out the Request for Gemini Advanced License form in ServiceHub. To complete your request, you will need to attach your training certificate from SOC Learns and agree to the attestation.

Get approved: Every request for Google Gemini Advanced is subject to supervisor approval. Once you submit your request in ServiceHub, it will be routed to your manager for signoff.

Get started! When your request is approved, you will be notified by ServiceHub that your license is ready to use in 10 business days or less.

Required Training

The Responsible AI for Public Professionals: Using Generative AI at Work training is designed to support the safe and responsible exploration and use of GenAI in day-to-day work through hands-on activities. The curriculum design, brought to you in partnership with InnovateUS, is informed by a sequence of national workshops with federal, state, industry and academic leaders.
