Introductory T-group Weekends build interpersonal skills and provide exposure to the GSB's T-group learning method. Participation in the GSB T-group model is a requirement for applying to the Interpersonal Dynamics Facilitator Training Program.
Introductory T-group Weekend is a pre-requisite before applying to the IDFTP. The Introductory T-group Weekend training offers an opportunity to build interpersonal skills and gain exposure to the T-group learning method used in the popular Stanford MBA elective, Interpersonal Dynamics. The training provides essential T-group experience, based on the Stanford Graduate School of Business model, for individuals who plan to apply to the Interpersonal Dynamics Facilitator Training Program. These Weekend trainings are offered three times per year.
IDFTP is a pre-requisite before applying to the AFTP. The Interpersonal Dynamics Facilitator Training Program prepares individuals to become skilled facilitators for the popular MBA elective course, Interpersonal Dynamics. After completing the training program, trainees will facilitate sections of Interpersonal Dynamics.
Most facilitators find great satisfaction in having an ongoing working relationship with the school, value their relationships within our facilitator community, and see additional benefits from continued facilitation in their personal and professional lives.
AFTP is designed to expand facilitators’ capacity to help students deepen their self-awareness and increase their ability to productively engage in authentic interpersonal and group dialogues. We explore various topics such as: intervening in groups at 3 levels (Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, Group), “Use of Self” in service of the group, connecting meaningfully across differences, emotional triggers and blind spots, covert processes in groups, resistance in groups, strengthen interventions through the lens of Power Equity Group (PEG).
August 2024 Update: We are currently accepting applications for the AFTP.
To support continuous learning for facilitators, we sponsor regular workshops and community sessions on a range of T-group related topics. Most facilitator workshops are free to attend.
