Feedback from Facilitator Training Needs Assessment
Thank you to the 18 facilitators who participated in our recent facilitator training needs assessment. Your feedback guides us how to more fully meet your needs.
Reading Coaches: We received feedback from you about the challenges having different reading coach expectations across sections. Because of class structure there will always be some differences. That said, the faculty will experiment with ways to achieve more consistency during our upcoming spring quarter. As an example, spring faculty will NOT post assignment grades and will report back on the response from students.
New Workshop: Based on some of your feedback, a new training workshop will be offered to you in 2025. It will focus on somatic self-regulation, both for facilitators and for helping students in this domain. Details to come.
Annual Facilitator Party
Our annual party will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Andrea Corney & Chris Carneghi’s home. This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with each other and meet newer members in our community. An invitation has been sent to you. Please let us know if you can attend! Please RSVP here.
Honoring Paul Mattish
Paul Mattish is retiring on April 19 after over 20 years of supporting the OB 374 class: 12 sections a year and over 12 instructors over the years. We’re so grateful for all his support. Please join us in celebrating Paul and congratulating him on his milestone event by adding a message to this Kudoboard.
We will deliver the Kudoboard to Paul on April 10 and request that you add your message by April 10 at noon.
Facilitator Small Group Gatherings
Chris McCanna plans to continue to hold optional gatherings that provide chances for you to connect with each other and share your experiences facilitating. She has scheduled these in-person sessions on days when several of you will be on campus facilitating this year. Please join her in Arbuckle Cafe with your lunch!
