Write your own mini, illustrated study guide to ser v. estar.

1. You must write two sentences each for DOCTOR and PLACE (22 sentences in all.)

2. Each sentence must be illustrated.

Two past tenses, the preterite and the imperfect - how do we know which one to use when we are communicating about the past?

The preterite v. the imperfect simplified:

Use the preterite except:

# 1: If, in the context of the sentence, it makes more sense to say, in English: was/were + verb-ing OR used to + verb, use the imperfect.

# 2: Time/date, age & other descriptions in the past use the imperfect.
