General Expectations:
Students are expected to be in class on time and prepared to work. If you arrive late and find the door closed, please knock politely and I will let you in as soon as it is convenient to do so.
In the case of an absence, the student is responsible for collecting any missed notes and assignments. If you know you will be absent, particularly on an exam day, please notify me beforehand so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
Success in mathematics requires that students keep up with their homework continually. Homework checks will be done regularly to ensure that students are setting themselves up for success. Students will be expected to complete missed homework at an alternative time.
Organization will be another key factor in this class. Students are expected to keep their notebooks neat and orderly by dating their material, numbering questions, and working in pencil.
Assignments are due on designated dates at the beginning of class. You should expect to complete 2 hand-in assignments each unit, in addition to daily homework.
Academic honesty – It is expected that students will use genuine, sincere, and fair means for the accomplishment of the assignments, tasks, test, or projects that make up the evaluation of this course.
If you require additional help in any area of the course, please contact me about setting up an appropriate time to meet. Students are expected to be active and responsible in their own learning.
