General Expectations:
Students are expected to be in class on time and prepared to work. If you arrive late and find the door closed, please knock politely and I will let you in as soon as it is convenient to do so.
In the case of an absence, the student is responsible for collecting any missed notes and assignments. If you know you will be absent, particularly on an exam day, please notify me beforehand so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
Success in mathematics requires that students keep up with their homework continually. Homework checks and/or homework tests will be done regularly to ensure that students are setting themselves up for success.
Organization will be another key factor in this class. Students are expected to keep their notebooks neat and orderly: date material, show page numbers, number questions clearly, work in pencil, and show your work.
Assignments – assignments are due on designated dates at the beginning of class. It is important that assignments are completed on time, as they are intended to enhance student learning. Students who are unable to submit their assignment on time will be expected to complete their work during the lunch hour.
Academic honesty – It is expected that students will use genuine, sincere, and fair means for the accomplishment of the assignments, tasks, test, or projects that make up the evaluation of this course.
If you require additional help in any area of the course, please ask me about setting up an appropriate time to meet. Students are expected to be active and responsible in their learning, but I am always here to help!
