New Campus Covid-19 Guidelines

Before coming to campus, please self-asses for the following:

If you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, stay home & follow your classroom sick-callout procedures. Do not come to campus for 5 days or until 24 hours after the fever is resolved, whichever is longer.


Masks are still encouraged. Do you need a mask, test kit or other PPE? Ask TRIO and check out our Resources page.

Peer-to-Peer Mentors Needed

Are you interested in helping first-year students find their way at South? Do you have a 2.0+ GPA and good academic standing (SAP students will be denied)? Are you available to work 12-16 hours/week (get paid $18/hour)? If yes, then apply for to be a Peer-to-Peer Mentor by Oct. 16! Two positions are open. The State Board of Community & Technical Colleges will hire 2 Interns for the upcoming legislative session. Work 20 hours/week while you attend school next quarter. One internship will be virtual and one will be on-site in Olympia. Pays $15/hour.

Susan Brown is excited to return to South as Interim Advisor for TRIO. Susan is a South/TRIO alumna and a recent UW Tacoma grad.
