Social/Emotional Counseling

While guidance counselors are a great resource for academic or college/career planning, we are also trained to help students with other issues.

Students can seek one-on-one help from their school counselor to discuss personal issues from dealing with depression, anxiety, pregnancy or loss of a loved one, to relationship problems, self-concept issues, and anger management. While a school counselor isn’t intended to be a mental health therapist we can provide an initial assessment, short-term “therapy,” and referral out into the community when indicated.

If you are feeling overwhelmed or dealing with personal/social issues and could use some support, don’t hesitate to visit your counselor today.
