Unit 1: Hola ¿qué tal?

Essential Questions:

• • What does the way people greet each other say about them?

  • How do people present one another?

  • What Hispanic influences are there in the US and Canada?

• • • How is God's sovereignty demonstrated in your identity--who you are, where you live, where you go to school, how you present yourself?

The student will be able to perform the following functions in Spanish:

• 1. Say the Spanish alphabet

  2. Recognize many Spanish speaking countries

  3. Greet someone formally and informally

  4. Say goodbye to people

  5. Express simple courtesies

  6. identify myself and others

  7. Count from 1 to 30

  8. Talk about the time of day, (tell time)

  9. Recognize God’s sovereignty in our lives and in every situation.
