Introductory Course on the United Nations Human Rights Enforcement Machinery
The lecture will serve as an introduction to the United Nations human rights machinery. The main mechanisms of the UN human rights system, how they advance international standards and promote and protect human rights. Operation of key UN human rights bodies. The lecture will be given by Dr Nazila Ghanea, Lecturer in International Human Rights Law at the University of Oxford. Editor of Religion and Human Rights Journal. She has acted as Consultant, delegation member and expert at many UN fora.
