Split students up into AVID teams and share goals/resolutions with each other. Can use AVID Team Charter.

With AJ Tutoring Geometry Packet, discuss eliminating choices simply by comparing relative lengths of dimensions. Show tearing off corner of packet to use as a ruler, and drawing 45 and 30 degree angles. Go through pages 3 and 4.
To Don't Lists and AVID team check-in
-As a whole group, brainstorm ideas of goal detractors to add to a To-Don't List, such as
--getting lost on youtube
--checking phone in class
--buying soda from vending machine
--pressing snooze on the alarm
-In AVID team groups, share progress on new years resolution, goals and decide on an item for personal To Don't List
Day #3
ACT Science. Students go through pages 14-17. Then get into groups of 3-4 so that each group is responsible for teaching the class about two questions. They will need to describe to the class:
1)What clue words in the questions did you use to search through the text?
2) How did you mark the text and tables?
3)What is the textual support?
4) Why are other answers are wrong?
5) What is the correct answer?
