Jazz Band

Jazz A Band 11/12

The Jazz A Band is for students who have previously been in Jazz Band and have extensive experience playing their instrument. This group focuses on stylistic nuances and is intended for students in their Senior years. 

Jazz B Band 9/10

Jazz B Band is an introduction to the jazz style, and is for motivated students with experience on their instruments. This is the perfect course for students in grades 9 and 10 and up who enjoy a challenge and are open to playing solos. 

The Sentinel Jazz Band recently won GOLD in the Whistler Con Brio Music Festival in 2023.

The Jazz program covers many styles and sub-genres, including swing, latin, funk, and big band.
