May Book of the Month
Year of Yes
"How to Dance it out, Stand in the Sun, and be your own Person" by Shonda Rhimes
The megatalented creator of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal and executive producer of How to Get Away with Murderchronicles how saying yes for one year changed her life - and how it can change yours, too.
With three hit shows on television and three children at home, the ubertalented Shonda Rhimes had lots of good reasons to say no when an unexpected invitation arrived. Hollywood party? No. Speaking engagement? No. Media appearances? No.
And there was the side benefit of saying no for an introvert like Shonda: nothing new to fear.
Then Shonda's sister laid down a challenge: Just for one year, try to say yes to the unexpected invitations that come your way. Shonda reluctantly agreed - and the result was nothing short of transformative. In Year of Yes, Shonda Rhimes chronicles the powerful impact saying yes had on every aspect of her life - and how we can all change our lives with one little word. Yes.

MAY wine Tasting Groups
Now Forming
A message from your Wine Coordinator, Jerry Pitzer...
After you sign up, I will create groups of 8-10 people, consisting of couples and/or singles.
Next, I will let you know who is in your group and the host(s). The group then decides a date, time and location for your tasting, including the format you choose. If you need some format ideas, call on me.
Please be aware that you will be meeting in someone's home and masks are not required.
If you cannot host or if you would like to host, please indicate that in your response email. Please DO NOT sign up if you have limited availability. Otherwise, I will assume you are willing to host.
I look forward to creating new groups of tasters for you to have an enjoyable evening.
If interested in joining, please send your name(s) and email address by April 25th to boomerswine@gmail.com
When returning your RSVP to the host, please provide your SCW Rec Card #.
To maintain SCW Chartered club status, a club must document that 75% of the club membership has attended at least one (1) club event a year. By providing your Rec Card number, you are helping the activity host and club secretary provide this required documentation. Thank you in advance for helping!
