Course Description:

8th grade science is a mixture of topics aligned to meet the Next Generation Standards (NGSS) for 6-8 Science.  8th graders will be tested on these standards at the end of 8th grade in the form of a state assessment.  

Topics addressed in 8th Grade:

Earth Science:  How Is the Earth Changing?

Physical Science: How Will It Move?

Life Science: Why Do Organisms Look The Way They Do?

Chemistry: How Does Food Provide My Body With Energy?

Grading:
