Ø Each student must immediately write the day’s homework and begin working on the “Do Now” before the bell.

Ø Students are to respect the property and person of both their fellow students and their teacher.

Ø Students are not permitted to use their locker during the period.

Ø Students are to request a bathroom pass at the beginning or end of the period, unless an emergency arises.

Ø Students are to remain in their assigned seats until the bell rings.

Ø Students are to raise their hand and wait to be called on by the teacher before addressing the class.

Lateness

If you are late to class, you will be missing the time when I check/review homework, and teach the new skill for the day. Therefore, it is essential that you show up on time to class. However, if you do not here are the ground rules:

* One lateness= verbal warning

* 2 latenesses=lunch detention

* 3 latenesses= phone call home

* 4 or more latenesses= formal referral to the AP.

Materials Necessary for Class- brought daily to class

* 2 pens/pencils (brought daily to class)

* 1 folder

* 1 high lighter

* 3 ringed binder labeled with the following sections:

Literature Units • Writing/Research • Vocabulary/Grammar
