FAFSA

What is the FAFSA?

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This form is used to determine the amount of money a family is expected to contribute to the price of attending a postsecondary institution. The results of the FAFSA are used in determining student grants, work study, and loan amounts.

*Please note:

You should complete  your FAFSA at least 2-3 weeks before any priority deadlines of schools you are applying to.  IF one of your choices has a deadline of 2/15, this even will not be ideal for you to complete your initial FAFSA application.  If you are need 1 on 1 assistance with filling out the FAFSA, contact the college or university you plan to attend and they can offer assistance with the process.  The website to fill out is the FAFSA is fafsa.gov.  Ther are other sites out there that look similar but are not legitmate!  Beware of scams!
