The Weekend Food Backpack Program is a confidential resource we have for Alfred and Lyman families in need to supplement meals and snacks for children on weekends and during school vacations. For families requesting it, a small bag of food is placed in students' backpacks at the end of the school week. The food bag contains breakfast items, lunch items, fruit items, and snacks.
Interested in Accessing the Weekend Backpack Program?
If your family would like to know how to access this program for your children, please contact your child's school counselor (Jackie Chaplin (Alfred) at jaclynchaplin@rsu57.org or Aurelie Swasey (Lyman) at aurelieswasey@rsu57.org). Alfred Elementary School families also have the option of completing this online form to request the Weekend Backpack Program, or one of our other Outreach Programs.
