Registration open for Rocket City Math League

Post date: Mar 09, 2014 2:45:55 AM

I have registered our school for the last Rocket City Math contest of the school year. The window to take the test is through Friday, March 21st. It is a 45 minute ten question test, so if you are interested, let me know what time would work best for you. The first few who respond will be the drivers on the time I select to administer the tests because I can only administer it once for the entire school. I will grade and enter the scores online which will then be compiled nationally.

The only things you may use on the test are pencils and unlined scratch paper (printer paper). No calculators or other devices may be used. There are different levels depending on which course you are currently enrolled.

Geometry - Gemini level

Algebra II - Apollo level

PreCal and higher - Discovery level

When responding please let me know what level AND a yes or no for EACH of the following time slots. I have not listed Wednesday afternoon because I will be off campus for a meeting.

Weds 8:10 AM*

Thursday 8:10 AM*

Thursday 4:20 PM

Friday 8:10 AM*

Friday 4:20 PM

*I will find someone to man the entrance near the elevator to let you in at 8:00 AM if we end up choosing one of these time slots.

You can find previous tests and solutions here if you want to practice:

There is no pressure to do well on this, especially since this will be our first foray in this competition. You should just have fun.
