ASVAB
What is it?
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program includes a validated aptitude test and interest assessment. The results are used to guide career exploration using our career planning tools. Most students interested in military pathway might find this exam helpful for reaching their goals. You must be in grades 10-12 to take the ASVAB.

To enlist in any branch of the military:
You must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
You must be at least 17 years old (17 year old applicants require parental consent).
You must (with very few exceptions) have a high school diploma.
You must pass a physical medical exam.
You must pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test (ASVAB). Score requirements vary from 31 to 36 depending upon the branch of the military.
Note: some branches limit occupational fields for females.
Note: students who participate in high school JROTC can enlist at a higher rank and pay grade than students who do not.
