College Board (AP, SAT, PSAT) & ACT require we submit paperwork in order for accommodations your student is used to receiving in school through a 504 plan or through a SpEd ARD plan or individual private doctors recommendations. If your student would like to get their local accommodations on their AP or SAT exams please let your counselor know as soon as possible.
During your annual ARD or 504 meeting, you can complete the parent consent form. This form is required to apply for accommodations.
Return the signed parent consent form to your student's counselor.
This form + your student's accommodation paperwork are then sent to the MHS testing coordinator to submit to College Board SSD.
The MHS testing coordinator will receive a decision letter via email. Students receive a decision letter via USPS.
Decisions can take up to 7 weeks to be made.
If additional documentation is requested, decisions can take an additional 7 weeks from the time the additional documentation is submitted.
Accommodation approvals are good for up to five years through College Board. You do not need to re-apply each year!
Deadlines for Accommodation Requests
If the deadline has passed, we can still apply for accommodations, it is just not guaranteed to have a decision before the test date.
