My Mission

I want to strengthen student critical thinking skills, increase collaboration, and promote creativity through the use of inquiry-based labs and student driven discussions to help students understand the physical world they live in in my Physics class.

I am originally from Chilton, a small farming town on the other side of Lake Winnebago. I graduated from high school in 2007 and attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay for 3 years before transferring to the University of Wisconsin Madison for my last 3 years of college. I originally was undecided what I wanted to do, and was trying to decide if I wanted to study physics or engineering. I decided to start studying physics because I was interested in the world around me and trying to figure out why things behaved the way it did. I first began teaching my freshman year of college where I worked as an assistant for a kindergarten classroom in Green Bay.

My hobbies include biking (both road biking and single track by the Ripon College), Kayaking, playing Xbox, and playing a few hands of cribbage from time to time.

Research: I currently study excessive amounts of infrared light that is emitted from a star system based on the Rayleigh-Jean tails of its spectral energy distribution (SED)
