Thank you to those of you that attended our Title/LAP Family Engagement Night! We hope you enjoyed getting to participate in a reading intervention lesson with your child. If you weren't able to make it, here is a link to the Google Slides that were shared that evening: Title I/LAP Reading Intervention Program
Also, be sure to check out this video from Really Great Reading. It will give you an idea of the routines that we use for instruction during our intervention times: Really Great Reading: A Crash Course for Parents

Dear parents/guardians of students in the Title I/LAP (Learning Assistance Program) and/or MLL (Multilingual Learner) Programs.
By now you should have received a letter informing you of your child's qualification in either of these programs. You do not need to "opt in"--your child, if qualified, is automatically entered into the programs.
Students who are receiving a supplemental, pull-out program will start accessing those services next week during our What I Need (WIN) Times. These WIN times are portions of the day when all children go somewhere in the school to access the supports they need. Your child will not ever miss out on "core" instruction to receive extra help. We work hard to ensure that students do not miss any learning to attend an extra support session.
Conferences are this week. You should have received an invitation from your child's teacher to join for a parent-teacher conference to discuss where your child is at and what is being done to support them, both in class and during WIN times. At the conference, you will be presented with a Student Intervention Plan, detailing your child's needs and what is being done to meet their needs and ensure their success this school year. I will be attending as many conferences as I can, and look forward to meeting you!
We have enjoyed getting to know your children already this year, as we prepare for our pull-out services to start next week. We look forward to seeing them grow on a daily basis!

Dear parents/guardians of students in the Title I/LAP and or ELL programs,
We are thrilled to be able to provide you with these links to a presentation on our Title I/LAP Reading and ELL Intervention programs during Ridgefield Remote Learning. You have two viewing options:
Please note--if you’re watching the Google Slides version, you will need to click to advance to the next slide; however, the videos will play automatically.
Please also note that if you choose to watch the video of the presentation, the links in the presentation will not be live.
After viewing the Slides, please click the link to complete the survey. We are also including the link to the survey at the bottom of this message for those that watch the video version. We appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback.
We also hope you’ll join us for a live Question and Answer session on Wednesday, November 18th at either 10:00 AM or 5:00 PM. The Zoom links are included, below.
Thank you for your time! We so love working with your child(ren) and can’t wait to be back in person doing so.

Hello!
If you prefer to listen to information, click here to listen to this information in English .
We started Title/LAP reading services this week and have loved getting to see so many kids on our Zoom meetings! We're hoping that more readers will join us tomorrow morning, Friday morning and next week.
A few important reminders:
Tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday are early release days. Due to this, we will only be able to meet with our 4th grade, 2nd grade, and 1st grade groups.
Your child has been invited to their grade level Language & Literacy Lab Google Classroom, but they need to go to the Google Classroom app, locate it and hit the blue "Join" button. Click this link to watch a video for more explanation.
Once your child joins the Google Classroom, I am able to see their screen during our work time together. This is helpful for me in being able to troubleshoot any tech issues. However, if they're not part of the Google Classroom, I can't see their screen.
There are 2 places to find the Zoom link--Google Classroom under "Classwork" or your child's Google Calendar. The link above demonstrates how to find the link in those two places.
IMPORTANT--If your child is waiting for more than 1-2 minutes to be accepted into the Zoom, have them close ALL open Zoom windows and try again. This is an error on Zoom's part that keeps happening--I can't even see that your child is trying to get in. Upon closing all tabs and clicking the link again, it may prompt them to sign in to Zoom--make sure they sign in using Google. If it's STILL not working, feel free to email me or text me via my Google voice number: 707-986-8646 and I'll try to help!
Lastly, please do not hesitate to reach out if there's anything you or your child needs to be successful in this group time. Email is a great way to reach me, and if you click the link on my name, below, it will take you to my website with additional information for how to get a hold of me.
Thank you for ALL you are doing every day to help your child access their remote learning! I know how difficult all of this is on parents.
Best,
Tiffany Q
