Kindergarten at a glance

We are working very hard on saying the alphabet as well as correctly forming the letters of our name. We have started our Jolly Phonics alphabet unit and are about to start to start Handwriting Without Tears for letter formation in the new year. We are continuing to work on the numbers from 1 to 10, patterning, sorting, and subitizing.

Letters learned so far: s, a, t, m, i, c, k, e, n, r *To practice these sounds and gestures with your child, search French Jolly Phonics by Mme Ross on Youtube.

On the home page I have put up some of the videos we watch on Youtube that I use in class to teach vocabulary. Your children call follow the actions at home and even sing along!

Winter Clothing

Just a reminder that your child needs to have appropriate clothing for the weather everyday. As part of our Phys. Ed. program we enjoy going outside to play in the snow so please make sure your child has proper clothing. Thank you!

Christmas Concert

Our school will not have a traditional, in-person Christmas concert this year. There will be a Winter Walk evening (Tuesday, December 14th or Wednesday, December 15th). Families can stroll around the outside of the school to see art projects each class has created. There will be carolers and hot cocoa:)

Special Person

We won't have a theme for December as it's just too busy in the classroom.
