RCDRC, NIEHS, and ICWUC partner to provide Environmental Health & Safety Training March 11-15, 2019

RCDRC News 2.8.19 | RCDRC, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Worker Training Program, the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC), and the ICWUC Center for Worker Health and Safety Education will provide two Environmental Health & Safety Training opportunities this March in order to increase awareness about the hazards associated with exposure to mold and other toxins, and to expand our mutual and collective effort to teach more members of the community how to efficiently and effectively increase access to relevant health & safety resources following a disaster collaboratively!

4 Day “Train the Trainer” Course

March 11-14, 2019

Course Description: The 4 Day “Train the Trainer” Course is available to members of the community and representatives from agencies, organizations, and faith-based groups who will help us to collectively expand our local capacity to provide Environmental Health & Safety Training in Robeson County. A commitment to both teach classes and train other trainers is required. This class is free.

Class Description: The 1 Day Environmental Health & Safety Class is available to members of the community and representatives from agencies, organizations, and faith-based groups who would like to learn more about: the health impacts associated with exposure to mold and other toxins; the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); how to safely engage in clean-up efforts following a disaster; and more! This class is free.
