Cassandra Campbell, Th.D. is the founding Executive Director for the Robeson County Disaster Recovery Coalition, Inc in Lumberton, NC, the county's designated long term recovery organization and Vice President of NC Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters. Dr. Campbell began her educational studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. She completed her B. S. in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix. She continued her studies and obtained her M. A. in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma Response from Liberty University. She received her graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Campbell holds a Doctor of Theology from Burroughs Divinity Bible School and is a Board-Certified Community Chaplain, bringing trauma‑informed spiritual care to survivors, volunteers, and frontline workers. She has guided long‑term recovery efforts in Robeson County following some of the most devastating natural disasters in its history, such as Hurricanes Matthew and Florence, as well as local flooding incidents, and the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than nine years of executive leadership in long term disaster recovery, she is known for championing systems that uplift vulnerable populations and improve disaster response infrastructure while mobilizing volunteers, securing critical resources, and building resilient community partnerships. She has served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross and as an early response team member with UMCOR. She deployed with the American Red Cross as the disaster assessment lead for North and South Carolina for Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and the Disaster Program Manager for the 2017 Louisiana tornadoes in New Orleans. As Executive Director, she has created and implemented disaster projects throughout the Carolinas by providing disaster case management services, volunteer and donations management, food programs, home repair, disaster unmet needs assistance, mold remediation, and community resiliency education and training workshops. Now in her ninth year as Executive Director of RCDRC, Inc. she oversees a 21,000sqft community resiliency hub facilitating increased access and equitable distribution of information, supplies, and other resources regionally and statewide or underserved populations. Above all, Cassandra's greatest joy is the gift of being a mother to three remarkable children: Daniel, Isaiah, and Destinee.
