Transferring College Credits

Indiana’s Core Transfer Library (CTL)

Indiana’s Core Transfer Library (CTL) includes a list of courses that are pre-approved for transfer between all Indiana public college and university campuses and some independent colleges and universities (assuming adequate grades were earned). You can search the CTL to see how colleges/universities will award credit for dual credit courses and AP exam scores.

Dual Credit Courses

If you have earned college credit via IU ACP dual credit courses or Ivy Tech dual credit courses but you plan to attend a different college/university, you will need to request to have your IU or Ivy Tech transcript sent to the college/university you will attend. You are recommended to wait until all of your college grades/credits have posted on your IU or Ivy Tech transcript. The college/university that you attend will determine if and how the transferred credits will apply.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Students have the opportunity to earn college credits by earning a minimum score on AP exams. The college/university that you attend will determine if and how the transferred credits will apply. Students are given the option to send AP exam scores to one college/university for free (by a certain deadline) via their My AP account. Students can send AP exam scores to additional colleges/universities for a fee.
