Story Retelling Gloves

The glove is used to scaffold a child or class’ retelling of a story. The “reteller” wears the glove. As the reteller answers a prompt, they put down the finger on the glove that goes along with their retelling. When all fingers are down, then they have told the “heart” of the story – not everything – just the heart!
