I have been an Art Educator for 17 years. In 2023-24, I will begin my 12th year at Whispering Wind Academy. 

Prior to being a teacher, I was an Art Director and Creative Director specializing in Advertising/Marketing in Chicago. As a designer, I am heavily influenced by the Bauhaus movement, typography, and popular culture. As an Art Director, I relish the creative collaboration and data-driven problem solving.

I am married, and have 5 grown sons, and 5 beautiful grandchildren who live in various states. 

I have my BFA in Graphic Design, and my MAed in Elementary Education. 

I also have a brown belt in Shotokan karate, and am an AFAA certified Group Fitness instructor, specializing in indoor cycling.

My passions are faith, family, food, fitness, health, love, and artistic expression in any form.

I like to try new things. I began painting during the Covid shut-down.  I have never owned a dog, but for a reason beyond my understanding, I started painting them! There are a few examples below.

I am extremely honored to be the Art teacher at WWA. My hope is that all students are able to use the Arts as a form of creative expression to enhance their lives.
