Week 10
It's the last week of school before Easter Holidays so let's make sure that we have remembered all the things we have been learning about our online literacy spaces. - Google, Blogger and educational games.
Week 9
This week we are learning how to recognise and note down the keywords in a paragraph. We are then going to use those keywords to help rewrite the paragraph in your own words. It will be tricky to start with, but I bet you'll be great at it by Friday.

Most of the yr 5s will be creating a site this week all about camp.
Yr 4 - Maori arrival to NZ. Adding detail to the beginning of sentences.

Adding detail to the beginning of a sentence. We're learning how to use all sorts of different beginnings to make our sentences much more interesting.
We'll work in groups and then take photos of our writing to upload to add to our document.

We're going to write a short conversation between Cinderella and one character from the story. We're practicing using speech marks and different words for said. We're also going to make sure that our conversation is really interesting to read. Click the link for your document template.

We're working through a series of activities to get us all to become competent users of our netbooks and our online spaces.
Week 1
This week we are going to do some whole class reading and writing activities. This will help us to learn some new technologies and how we will do things in Room 13 this year.
We are going to use Google Forms, Google Docs and Answer Garden, as well as some old favourites like Hyperstudio and even pens and paper!
