Ms. Sun, Siyao

I’m Abby Sun, a Chinese immersion Classroom teacher at Paint Branch

Elementary School.

My major is Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in Bachelor, and Chinese Ancient

Literature in Master. I have worked in China, Singapore, and US as a Chinese Language Art

teacher. I instructed Chinese to students from elementary to College in these countries. I was

working at Washington Yu Ying PCS before I join the PGCPS. I’m very excited to start the new

journey with my new students and my new colleagues at Paint Branch Elementary School.

Teaching is my calling, and I feel thrilled when I observe how amazing job my students do. I

make strong and positive connection with each of my students and enjoy every valuable

moment with them. I prefer applying student-centered instruction to satisfy every student’s

needs and abilities. I establish an engaging, encouraging and also fun learning environment to

help each student achieve their full potential.
