Ms. Huang, Imin

Nihao. My name is Imin Huang, Chinese immersion teacher at Paint

Branch Elementary school. I earned my B.A. in Education and

Chinese from National Taiwan Normal University and a Master degree

in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from National Chengchi

University in Taiwan. I also worked as a volunteer in National Palace

Museum in Taipei, Taiwan for over 10 years. To share and give tour

guides of Chinese culture and art pieces in the museum was fantastic

for me. Since I received my B.A. degree, I started teaching Chinese

writing and literary to students’ age from 7 to 17 in my hometown

Taiwan. It made me realize that I love teaching and sharing

knowledge with students. Then I started teaching Chinese as a

second language from 2012. Teaching Chinses as a second language

exposes me to a world of different cultures and the greatest diversity

of personalities. It has broadened my sociological insight through

learning from my learners’ experiences. I really expect to share the

beauty of Chinese culture and discover the fun of Chinese language

with my students.
