Perry Local Schools Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC)

Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC)

The Perry Local Schools Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC), operating under the requirements of SB 230 and policies established by the Perry Local Schools Board of Education, must review all licensure renewal applications for all licensed/certified employees. This includes reviewing semester hours, Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) and Equivalent Other Activities (EOA’s) that are submitted for credit toward license renewal. The LPDC bases recommendations for license renewal on an educator’s Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP), in compliance with the law and the Perry Local Schools Standards and Guidelines for Professional Development contained herein.

Purpose

The purpose of the Perry Local Schools LPDC is to review IPDP’s submitted by the licensed/certified staff, determine value of activities and, if approved, monitor the course work and/or activity proposals; and to grant or deny credit for course work/activities to be used for the issuance of a license. The LPDC will also work to design the professional development for Perry Local Schools.
