The Gurus are currently working on presentations on the free Google Suite of Programmes: Google Docs, Draw, Sheets, Slides and Forms to inform the classes and teachers of their many uses.

The Media Group are using technology to promote school initiatives and the wide variety of learning taking place across the curriculum.

We are learning digital skills for life, learning and work and applying these to create informative and fun projects using a variety of media.

We are utilising our new Chroma Key Studio to produce realistic news bulletins for the school.

The Media Group's first focus is to create an informative video tour of our new school campus. Pupils have been working hard on planning their scripts.

Our Charity Group is made up of Primary 4,5 and 6 children. We meet regularly to talk about current issues and how we can help. We fundraise money so we can help others. Some of our money raised goes to SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund). Some of the money we have raised goes to Our School Fund.

So far we have created Halloween Hampers which all children and adults enjoyed participating in, we raised over £200!

Record Breaking Readers
Record Breaking Readers
The Record Breaking Readers work with children in primary 1 and 2 to help them build confidence and fluency reading aloud. They open a new world of imagination through reading for pleasure with the younger children and develop their own skills in reading aloud to an a audience.

Paired reading has also helped to build relationships between lower and upper school pupils. is has also helped to develop patience in the record breaking readers as they are working with pupils who need a lot of encouragement and support with their reading.

The Issue Investigators are a team of pupils from P4 - 7 who raise awareness of topical issues, educate others in our school community about these issues and encourage them to take action.

Issue Investigators also regularly take their learning outdoors, working alongside local businesses and the local community.

Our first focus has been plastic pollution. The Issue Investigators went litter picking around Balloch to research how much of the litter in our local area is plastic.
Our research showed that 72% of 268 pieces of litter collected was plastic, 7% was cans and 21% was paper or cardboard.

The Mini Vinnies are a team of Primary 4 to 7 children working together to do good in the community and raise funds.

We are a younger version of the SSVP (Society of Saint Vincent de Paul) and our aim is to raise awareness of their work too.

We have already held an Out of School Uniform Day which resulted in 18 food hampers being delivered to people in the local community.
