The Kingdom of God came into the world with the coming of God the Son.
Jesus’ mission was to share the life and love of God his Father with all people and to reconcile all people to God.
Jesus’ actions of healing and forgiving of sins were special signs that showed that he was not only human, but also divine.
The women and men who heard Jesus’ message and followed him were called disciples.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches that people will be happy if they trust in God and all he did.
The teachings that describe the way we love as Jesus’ disciples are called Beatitudes.
In the Beatitudes, the word blessed means “happy.”
Jesus’ message of hope for those who live the Beatitudes is “Rejoice and be glad for your reward will be great in heaven” (Matthew 5:12).
Jesus taught his disciples a very special prayer called the Lord’s Prayer, or the Our Father.
A miracle is an extraordinary event beyond power and brought about by God.
Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding feast in Cana of Galilee.
Through this first Miracle, Jesus revealed his divinity.
Jesus worked miracles because he loved people, especially those suffering and in need. He wanted them to have his Father’s comfort and peace in their lives. He also wanted to strengthen their belief in the power of God’s love and forgiveness.
Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding feast in Cana of Galilee. He helped the bride and groom when there was no wine left. He did this by changing water into wine so that the celebration could continue.
Through prayer the disciples learned to speak to God and listen to God speaking to them.
Jesus told his disciples that God the Father knows what we need before we ask. He instructed them to pray to God our Father. Jesus taught the disciples a special prayer called the Lord’s Prayer also called the Our Father, which sums up Jesus’ message of trust in and love for the Father.
