Create a set of review cards for the theories of child development.

1. Jean Piaget’s Stages of Cognitive Development

· Create scenarios that represent each stage

2. Diana Baumrind & Company’s Parenting Styles

· Create scenarios that represent each style

3. Sigmund Freud’s Theory of Psychosexual Development

· Keep it appropriate

4. Erik Erikson’s Stages of Psychosocial Development

· Create scenarios that reflect each stage

5. Lawrence Kohlberg’s Stages of Moral Development

· Create scenarios for all six stages

PROCEDURE

Use the Microsoft Word template. Type the name of the theorist, the theory, and the stage in the top box and the scenario with which it matches in the box directly below.

Create original scenarios – do not copy those given in the textbook. As much as this is about creating a study aid for yourself, it is also about thinking through the meanings of the stages and how they look in real life.

Save the file with your name as part of the title. For example: Child Development Theories – John Smith

Submit the file to Google Classroom.
