Identifying Functions of Psychologists
In a small group of three, make a list of behavioral disorders, areas of research, and job functions of psychologists.
Next to each item on the list, write which type of psychologist would most likely be associated with the item.
Use index cards or small slips of paper to create matching cards. On one card record the list of disorders, areas of research, and job functions from one psychological profession. On another card list the psychological profession. Repeat until all of the professions have a matching set of cards.
When each group is ready, the groups exchange cards. Guess which type of psychologist might best handle each item.
The group that prepared the cards will check the answers when finished.
** These cards should be educationally challenging – not too easy, not too hard; Accurate,
