When will I ever use Math

We believe that these posters are a great way of promoting the influence that Mathematics has on such a wide range of disciplines, for educators, students, and community members. LDH is very culturally diverse, consisting of people of many ethnicities; being also academically diverse. We have students who intend to pursue Math, Science, or other STEM-related fields, but we also have many students who hope to pursue subjects like Visual Arts, English and History. This numeracy initiative is a way to bring students of different academic interests together and realize that they all have overlapping mathematical ideas woven into them.

These posters were created with the inputs from all our LDHSS teachers in their field of expertise, and with the creativity of our school's Mathletes club students, the thirteen cross-curricular posters below are now available to share.
