Wendover Neefus (1885-1945), was born on December 8, 1885, son of Ruluf Neefus (1844-), a bookkeeper, and Ada Hallanbeck Neefus ().
In 1894, at the age of nine he began collecting United States postage stamps. Amusingly, his business publications in the 1930's claim "Established 1894".
His Law Office was located at 602 Warren Street, Hudson, New York.
On July 9, 1915, at Hudson, New York, he married Ethel Eugenia Blinn, daughter of Philo Blinn and Lydia Murdock Blinn. They had a daughter Marian (1918-), and a son Wendover Neefus, Jr. (1920-1993).
In 1916, he published his annual fixed price list, Stamps of the United States and Colonies.
In 1918, he began calling his stamp dealership "The House of Satisfaction", and published his annual fixed price list, Stamps of the United States and Colonies.

He was a member of the Rotary Club.
He was a member of Fort Orange Philatelic Society.
In 1942, he lived at 555 State Street, Hudson, Columbia County, New York.
He was a member of the ASDA.
He died on August 11, 1945.
His son Wendover Neefus, Jr., continued the stamp dealership after the death of his father trading as Wendover Neefus Co., Hudson, New York. He sold an 88-page price list of U. S. Stamps in 1953 for ten cents.
