DIRECTIONS

Norris High School’s address is 25211 South 68th Street, Firth, NE. We are about 5 minutes south of Hickman, NE, on 68th Street (15 minutes south of Lincoln) – right out in the corn field – hence, the perfect name for our contest!

PARKING

Please see the campus map to help you understand the best place to park and enter the building.  As spectators arrive at the Norris campus (which has many buildings), the building running parallel to 68th Street is Norris High School. 

There is a vehicle entrance on the north side of the high school and a vehicle entrance on the south side of the high school.  

Buses will use the north entrance in the morning for student and equipment dropoff.  

Parents/spectators should use the south Entrance and park on the WEST and SOUTH sides of the school and enter the school on the WEST side of the school (main glass doors).  The west entrance is closest to the auditorium and tickets.      

PAYMENT FOR ADMISSION AND FOOD AT THE FIELDS OF TALENT CAFE'

We will take cash and all major credit card types including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.  There will be an automatic convenience fee added when using any type of electronic payment. 

We also have a simple concession stand, separate from our cafe, with some additional food offerings like candy, baked goods, and cold drinks, etc.  We will only accept cash at the this concession stand.   

ADMISSION

$15 per person

$10 for senior citizen (60 or older), military, or students

Children 5 and under are $5.

These prices are set for arrival any time of day and for any portion of the contest.  There is not a separate price for finals.

CONCESSIONS

The concession stands open on Saturday morning and close in the evening during Finals.  We have two concession stands - one main Cafe' in the multipurpose room with snacks, drinks, meals and coffee; and one outside the main gym with light snacks and cold drinks.  We have a coffee bar inside our Cafe'!  :)  

If your student has special dietary concerns, please feel free to have them bring their own food.  We just ask they eat in designated areas only, not in homerooms.   

 PERFORMANCES

All performances take place in our 725 seat auditorium.

CROWD CONTROL

Our main gym, which is right by the auditorium, will have a large projector/screen and good sound system for students to hang out and watch the contest as the auditorium becomes more full throughout the day.  This will help make sure that everybody has a great place to see all the action and that patrons are able to get into the auditorium.  The gym is also great for students because they can watch and eat at the same time – unlike the auditorium where no food or drink is allowed.  

AWARDS

Daytime awards will take place in the south gym and finals awards will take place in the auditorium.
