Expectations of Students
Take responsibility for your own learning
Approach each class and task with a positive attitude
Be on time, in your seat, with homework and class materials on the desk (and nothing else!)
Bring all materials with you to class each day, including:
charged Chromebook
headphones (aux cord)
3-ring binder with lined paper and dividers, organized in a way that makes it easy for you to find notes and assignments
1-subject notebook for video notes (composition or wirebound)
Biology only
assignments and class work
pen or pencil
calculator
Actively engage in your learning - ask questions and contribute positively to class discussions
Write down homework in an assignment notebook
Utilize Google Classroom to complete and submit assignments
Check the class website for materials
Sign up for your class
Remind
messages via either text or email
Respect your classmates, the teacher, other people's property, and yourself
Follow all policies as outlined in the NRHS Student Handbook, including those on cheating and plagiarism
Work cooperatively and diligently at all times
No eating or drinking (except water) in class
Monitor your progress using the PlusPortals
Live up to your potential!

Be fair in assessment of student learning and achievement
Be available for extra help during power block and after school by appointment
Update student grades on PlusPortals at least biweekly
Enforce school and classroom rules and policies consistently
