Loading Access

The Prudential Hall is directly accessible via loading dock doors off Stage Left.  There is room at the dock for 3 tractor-trailers.

Door dimensions are as follows:


Staging      

The Stage Floor has a sprung floor system with a maple tongue and groove deck resting on ¼ “ neoprene pads.  There are no traps in the stage floor.  The use of any stage fasteners, lags, screws, or nails, etc. must be discussed. The use of rosin or other dance treatment is restricted to areas covered by linoleum or other dance floor coverings.  Any damage to the floor must be restored at the expense of the visiting company.

Hard proscenium: 60’-0” W x 40’-0” H

Adjustable Permanent Portal:  Header (62’-0” W x 24’-0” H)

Fly Galleries

Height from stage floor, SR and SL:                             46’-0”

Orchestra Pits  

Broadway/US Lift: 10’-0” D  (at CL) x 64’ - 0” W. 

An additional 9’-4” D under apron, US of this lift, is available.

Opera/DS Lift: 11’-0” D (at CL) x 66’ -0” W.

Standard Seating Configuration is FULL SEATING on both the US and DS Lifts. As part of the Production’s restore all removed seating must be returned to the Standard Seating Configuration.  Seats in row AA – CC (total: 77) are removed when the US lift is used.  Seats in row CC – FF (total:100) are removed when the DS Lift is used. Both lifts have presets at chair storage, trap room, orchestra pit, orchestra seating and stage levels. Please note that the DS Lift at stage level poses sight line problems for rows A & B.


Empties Storage

Empties may be left in the loading dock or crossover hallway.  Part of the basement under the Prudential Hall stage may be available for storage. Discuss with Production Manager. 


Acoustic Shell and Curtains

Concert Towers

There are 11 concert towers, each 9’-0” wide by 29’-9” high that form the walls of the shell. Preset positions available are: Standard Orchestra, Orchestra with Chorus, and Recital. Within each tower are 2 sets of acoustic control panels as well as Production and Architectural lighting.

Concert Ceiling

The ceiling covers the entire stage house at a height of  37’-0” DS to 32’-0” US.  The maximum height for drops that can be stored above the ceiling is 40’.

Forestage Reflector 

The forestage reflector is used in conjunction with the concert shell.  This reflector extends 36’-0” into the house and does kill some seats in the highest levels. 

Shell Storage

The ceiling and towers all store along the wall US. The stage house is clear to 49-0” US of the smoke pocket. The reflector stores DS of the proscenium and above the architectural valance.

Acoustic Curtains     

The acoustic curtains are motor controlled absorption/diffusion panels. There are 2 settings – deployed and stored.


Rigging

Grid

The grid is 93’-8” height above the stage floor and is made of 3" channel with wells 6’-5”, 19’-6” and 48’ SR and SL.

Fly Rail

The fly rail, stage right, operates from either stage level or fly gallery.  However, the fly gallery has restricted sight lines.

Battens                           

There are 78 manual counterweight line sets typically on 6” centers with 73’-6” long truss battens (1.5” pipe). The maximum loading capacity on each is 2,000 pounds. See line set schedule in downloads for exact positions.

High Trim: 91’-0”   |   Low Trim: 3’-0”  |  Travel: 88’-0”

US/DS Tab Pipes

Tab pipes are manual, 50’-0” SR and SL of center, 5’-0” to 49’-0” US from the smoke pocket, 1.5” pipe.  They are located under the fly galleries.

Downstage Rigging Points 

Lighting points are immediately DS of the proscenium arch. Center line and approx 20’ SL & SR from center to high steel for heavy trusses. For lighter trusses any where along the proscenium arch is possible.

Video

 A color and black and white low light camera is located on the balcony rail focused on the stage. Onstage monitors are located in the stage manager’s desk, DSR. A limited number of other monitors and cameras are available.


Stage Management

There are positions SL, SR and in the booth for a stage manager. SL and SR positions re-equipped with both color and infra-red cameras, paging station, wired Clear-Com station, cue light, and  house light controls.

Hospitality and Artist Rooms

Wardrobe Room  Located stage level, just off SR shared space with Performers Lounge

Performers Lounge  Located stage level, just off SR.  typically used as a hospitality facility and/or company manager’s office.

Laundry  Located basement level SR, equipped with 2 washers and 2 dryers.  The use is shared with the Victoria Theater.

Dressing Rooms  All dressing rooms are located backstage SR and are equipped with mirrors, showers and toilet facilities unless otherwise noted. See attached drawings.
