HOW TO CHOOSE "JUST RIGHT" BOOKS:
1. Look at the cover.
2. Read the title and the author
3. Read the description on the back of the book and on on the inside covers.
4. Flip through the book.
5. Read the first page.
6. Use the five-finger rule. Everytime you miss a word hold up a finger. If you miss:
0-1 words - too easy
2-3 words - just right
4-5 words - too hard
What are "I-PICK" BOOKS?
I -I get to choose the book but I ask myself four questions:
P - Purpose - Why do I want to read this book?
I - Interest - Does this book grab my attention?
C - Comprehend - Can I remember and understand what I am reading?
K - Know - Do I know most of the words and what they mean?
