Welcome to 8th grade Literacy Lab! This course provides small group instruction in reading and writing and is coordinated with the Common Core Standards and the Massachusetts Standards for Literacy. Eighth grade Literacy Lab addresses the rising writing demands in all academic subjects. Alongside direct and explicit reading instruction, this course includes informal writing experiences that support student’s ability to organize, develop and revise their writing. This individualized writing instruction and in-depth coaching is coordinated with the formal writing projects students are expected to complete in their core subjects.
