Summer Work

Welcome to AP Physics 1. It will be a challenging but rewarding course as you start to see the world around you in a different light, understanding why particular phenomena occur.

To get started please complete the summer work packet that you picked up prior to the end of school last year. If you can't find it don't worry you can find a copy below on this page.

We recommend you complete 1 or 2 problems a day to spread the workload out over the summer or completing the bulk of it in August, to get the math and science wheels moving, after being on vacation for so long.

You will also find below your formula sheet for the entire year. Please familiarize yourself with it.

We use very specific vocabulary in Physics. In everyday conversation you may use the terms "mass" and "weight" interchangeably, they actually have very specific meanings. We have added list of Task Verbs we use in word problems. Be familar with these terms.

Below you will find videos that you are required to watch prior to returning to school next school year. We start covering course content on the 2nd day of school and expect you to be familiar with the vocabulary we will be using.

You are highly encouraged to view the 2 Khan Academy courses below before school starts. Once again this will only help you familiarize yourself with our vocabulary, thought process and problem solving strategies.

We look forward to working with all of you over the next school year.
