A: The goal of NJROTC is to motivate young people to be better Americans. We plan on doing so by: promoting patriotism, developing informed and responsible citizens, promote habits of orderliness and precision and to develop respect for constituted authority, develop a high degree of personal honor, self-reliance, individual discipline, and leadership, promote an understanding of the basic elements and requirements for national security, develop respect for and and understanding of the need for constituted authority in a democratic society.
Q: Are there any benefits from being in JROTC?
A: Yes! There are many benefits to being a Cadet in JROTC. As a cadet, you will be taught valuable lessons in leadership and accountability which will prepare you for life after high school. Also, if you complete 3 years of JROTC, you will be able to enlist with a E-3 paygrade in the Navy, Air Force, Army, and Coast guard. You will be able to enlist with a E-2 paygrade in the Marine Corps.

A: You must select Naval Science as your class in high school to be enrolled in JROTC. Talk to your guidance counselor if you have any questions regarding this matter.
