To Look into a Heart and
Judge a Soul
by Maddie High
I wake up every day
Look down at the view
Then take a look at the morning agenda.
Each minute, there is something to do
All judgment lies on me
I walk to the court house,
And look at all of the people
Their faces full of concern
Looking for their relatives.
I remember when Juliet appeared here looking for her Romeo,
I remember judging his case,
It was a hard call,
But in the end,
Who could separate them?
I could
But I didn't.
I am the top judge,
All relies on me,
I feel the pressure every minute when I look into their faces.
They all wonder who He is,
Where is He,
Will He forgive me?
The truth is,
I am He
And it's hard to be God.
