Poetry
By Dylan Sargent
Sparkling dew-covered blades of grass
Tempted me to the humpback whale
of a rock.
The soothing wind,
Soft outstretched arms
Cooled my body as I hiked along.
Trees loaned shade from the hot sun.
It looked like the
prehistoric ages.
Peaceful,
Rest,
No worries.
The modern world was gone
In the blink
Of an eye.
No road for miles.
