Ocean
Splash. I can hear the ocean crashing against the smooth rocks. The salty air twisting around me lifting me up above the ocean. The twist of the salty air lets go and suddenly I am in the ocean seeing creatures of the deep. The ocean is cradling me in its grasp and singing song. I rise up out of the ocean and walk to shore after a long mysterious sleep. I hear the ocean, its song and its whispering, lapping the secrets on the beach. I waded into the water to swim and see the creatures underneath the surface. I lie under the water on my back. I see the surface with the sun shining through. The surface of the salty ocean is like glass, and I’m the picture inside it with all the other creatures beneath me. The ocean starts to whisper and I giggle and play beneath the surface. Fish swirl around me and then two dolphins swirled with the other fish making a circle. I swim out of the encasing circle and I swim silently out of the ocean. I saw the ocean sparkle from the stars in the night sky as it said good night and its good byes.
The Watchful Eyes
Snap, a twig cut in half. I look over my sun scorched shoulder and see a pair of eyes watching me take steps forward. The eyes followed. I turn untempted to be frightened. I curiously look over behind me, astonished, the creature was gone. I ran to the edge of the lush green forest silent as a fox and graceful like a bird. I stand there puzzled, thinking about the pair of eyes. I wondered if it was a creature of an evil demon because of its yellow eyes. It seemed like the eyes were piercing my rough skin trying to find something in me. After a hard day of work around the camp I settled into the shelter. I fell fast asleep.
