SkillsUSA WEEK

Finalize Your SkillsUSA Week Plans

SkillsUSA Week is Feb. 6-10, and we have lots of support for SkillsUSA members who want to participate by honoring community supporters, connecting with local business and industry professionals, or making a presentation about their CTE program and SkillsUSA chapter at a school board meeting. We encourage members to plan activities that follow the daily schedule of events using the SkillsUSA Week Chapter Guide. If you would like to outfit officers or members, a special SkillsUSA Week T-shirt is available in the SkillsUSA Store. Shipping is free and fast. The SkillsUSA Advocacy Site has a template officers can use to promote their activities to their local media during SkillsUSA Week and Career and Technical Education Month.

Chapter Activities

SkillsUSA Framework Kahoot!https: //www.skillsusaconnect.org/content/SkillsUSA%20Framework%20Kahoot.pdf

Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy for instructors to create, share and play learning games. These games will engage your students in trivia games based on the SkillsUSA Framework and Essential Elements. Open the PDF for the lesson plan, or click the hyperlinks below to begin:

SkillsUSA Jeopardy-https://www.skillsusaconnect.org/content/SkillsUSA%20Jeopardy%20(FINAL).zip

This is a game-based learning activity that will test your student’s knowledge of all things SkillsUSA! This game is very similar to the televised version of the game: answers are presented on the game board and contestants must respond in the form of a question. Each SkillsUSA related category has a point value. The members will choose a category and point value, and the advisor will set a time limit for the member answering the question. If the member or team is correct and answers within the time frame, they are awarded the point value of the question. Continue until all questions have been answered. The team with the most points wins!

SkillsUSA Framework Bingo-https://www.skillsusaconnect.org/content/SkillsUSA%20Framework%20BINGO.pdf

Basic Bingo can be used in class, during a meeting or even virtually. Interactive Bingo is perfect for in class, during a meeting or workshop, or can be given as an assignment to complete outside of class. Action Bingo challenges students to practice the skills of the Framework by putting them into action. Three types of cards are available for any number of students.
