Host JP Sredzinski

Masuk's Future Business Leaders of America was proud to host a guest speaker at the monthly meeting. The guest speaker was local state representative JP Sredzinski. Mr. Sredzinski has been the representative of the 112th district of Connecticut, which includes parts of Newtown and all of Monroe, since 2014. He was elected to the Monroe Town Council in 2005 and served as its head from 2013 to 2014, he additionally serves on the state legislature's committees on: public safety, commerce, and internships. He spoke of a wide range of topics, predominately what it means to be a leader and some of the qualities that a great leader exhibits. Furthermore, he discussed how he himself has dealt with differing opinions in politics, as he is a republican in a state with a democratic majority. He went on to take questions from members where he was asked, among other things: what his greatest accomplishment has been and what educational path one would take if they wanted to pursue a career in politics.
